Practices and conditioning are Monday and Wednesday evenings. Travel is a possibility, but usually reserved for upper classmen. Please note that many games take place over holidays and if scheduled, you will be required to be present. June 21 – 10 am – 3 pm - uniform fittingsĪs a Butler cheerleader, you will be required to cheer all home football games, all home MBB games, 2-3 volleyball games, approximately 8-10 WBB games. Please make note of the camp dates for any conflict with summer school classes. Lodging is not provided for summer camp weekends, but you may coordinate with other team members for hotels or staying near campus. Schedules have been made so that you can drive in or fly in and out in order to be at practice without missing summer work. These two weekends set the tone for our camp experience, and our gameday performances/cheers/stunts/pyramids and are mandatory. Should you be selected to join our team, you will need to attend two summer practice weekends as well as UCA College Camp in Tennesee. BHT, Layouts, Fulls, Extended passes always a plus! Females: minimum preferred skills are standing tuck and robh tuck on wood floor.We also ask that you not attempt a skill at tryouts that you are not proficient at doing on a regular basis. Tumbling Skills Required: While tumbling is important, it is just one aspect of a well-rounded cheerleader so if you have desire to cheer, do not allow this to dissuade you.
